大家在备考考研英语的而过程中，经常会被一些试题中出现的长难句吓住。一看见长难句就觉得大脑一篇空白，不想再读下去了。但，其实有些长难句只是纸老虎，如果我们能够抓住分析长难句的重点，这些句子也就没有想象的那么难了。今天就以2017年的考研英语试题为例，带大家来分析一下长难句。
例1.

这一句子是2017年考研英语试题翻译中的句子，该句子共35个单词。很多学生看到不知从何入手，去分析句子，进而理解翻译它。其实我们在分析长难句时，应该首先抓句子的主干(主语、谓语、宾语、表语)，主干成分中可以首先抓谓语动词，这个句子的谓语共有四组：should end,may believe,is,do not need。一个句子中如果有N个谓语动词，在不省略从属连词的情况下，句子中应该有N-1个连词，所以我们就可以画出句子中的主从句：His analysis should therefore end any self-contentedness among those who may believe that the global position of English is so stable that the young generations of the United Kingdom do not need additional languages capabilities.His analysis should therefore end any self-contentedness among those为主句，who may believe...为定语从句，修饰前面的those，that the global position of English is so stable为believe的宾语从句，that the young generations of the United Kingdom do not need additional languages capabilities与前面的so构成so...that...句式，为结果状语从句，理解为如此...以至于...。将句子结构分析清楚之后，翻译起来就比较简单了。该句可以理解为因此，他的分析应该会终结某些人的自满态度。这些人认为英语的全球地位十分稳固以至于英国的年轻一代根本不需要学习其它的语言了。

这个句子是阅读当中的，遇到长难句，我们首先仍然是抓句子主干。Curbs on business-method claims would be dramatic about-face为主句，可以理解为对商业方法专利的控制将是沉底的转变。because...为原因状语从句，只不过这其中有包含了一个强调句it was the Federal Circuit itself that introduced...，可以理解为因为正是联邦法院在1998年审理一个被称为‘美国道富银行’的案件时提出的;approving a patent on a way of producing mutual-fund assets为伴随状语，可以理解为当时联邦法院给形成共有基金资产的方法授予了专利。
