Linda:No,he wasn' t.

Mark:Was he speeding then?

Linda:No.

Mark:That' s curious. Then why did he lose control of the car?

Linda:Because the truck right in front,which was loaded with large boxes,suddenlydropped a box onto the ground. Trying to avoid hitting the box,the driver turnedleft sharply,which was lucky,because there are five or six people on the side walkon the right.

Mark:Oh! That was scary. Was the driver hurt?

Linda:Yes,but not badly. Witnesses called the police and the driver was brought to the hospital. He suffered from some bruises but otherwise,he' s okay.

Mark:What a lucky escape!

Linda:Yes,it was really dangerous. And the police are still trying to find out who should be responsible for the accident.

Mark:I just hope it won' t happen again.
